Bishop Rick Keyes
1947 – 2021
Rev. Rick Keyes, an honored Elder among us, passed from this life and to his eternal reward on Wednesday, June 9th. Please keep Sis. Keyes, their son Ronnie Keyes, and the extended family in your prayers.
Bro. Keyes is worthy of double honor and to have the accomplishments of his life celebrated. He had been a licensed minister of the Western District of the United Pentecostal Church for over fifty years. His ministry began as a young man in his home church in Kerman, CA, transitioned to formal theological education at Western Apostolic Bible College and then serving as Pastor for three years in Kingsburg, CA and forty years at Revival Tabernacle of Santa Maria, CA. After retiring as Pastor of Revival Tabernacle he remained as their Bishop until his passing.
The life of this great man was a legacy of service to God and the body of Christ. In addition to the forty-three cumulative years of pastoring, he served the Western District as Sectional Youth Director for eight years, Presbyter for sixteen years, District Secretary for eight years and the UPCI as Regional Executive Presbyter for three years. A few high points of personal accomplishment for Bro. Keyes was the building of the Issac A. Keyes Memorial Bible College in Thailand (in joint effort with his bother, Rev. Randy Keyes and their churches) and his receipt of the Distinguished Alumni Award and Honorary Doctorate from Christian Life College. He was vital in mentorship and spiritual covering to many men and women who are now engaged in ministry and carrying on his legacy.
